DHF launches new video for Industrial Door Group Members

ID Video

Door & Hardware Federation (DHF) has launched a new animated video for Industrial Door Group Members named, ‘What to expect from your Industrial Door installation’.  The video, which is just under two minutes long, provides vital information on ensuring that industrial doors are safe, compliant, and fitted by trained engineers.  It is the second video in the animated series and DHF will shortly be launching a video for automated gates and traffic barriers too.

Taking the viewer through the process of an industrial door installation, the video highlights ‘who is responsible for what’, clarifying the responsibilities of the manufacturer, i.e., discussing conformity marking, operation and maintenance manuals, declaration of conformity and declaration of performance, and in addition the responsibilities of the installer, as well as recommending a qualified DHF member for installation.

The video also clarifies the responsibility of the owner or manager of the industrial door.  Owners and managers are responsible for ensuring they have the correct documentation, and that their doors are kept safe and compliant; a regular maintenance programme should be in place and adhered to.

“DHF encourages members to share the video on their websites, social media platforms and with potential and existing customers,” says DHF’s Commercial Director, Patricia Sowsbery-Stevens.  “It provides a guide for owners, managers, installers and consumers regarding responsibility, risk assessment, and ensuring your industrial door is safe and compliant.”
