Bob joined dhf in 2009. He has been involved in the lock and hardware industry for many years. Previously managing director of Chubb Locks and UNION Locks, Bob worked for ASSA ABLOY before joining dhf. He was chairman of the Association of Building Hardware Manufacturers from 1994-1996. At dhf Bob is responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the business.

Michael became general manager and secretary of dhf on its formation in 2004, having been secretary of its predecessors Association of Builders’ Hardware Manufactures and Door & Shutter Manufacturers’ Association since 1987. Michael has responsibility for representing members' technical interests. Providing advice to members on standards and legislation as well as representing dhf membership in the UK and Europe on various committees and boards. Michael also assists BRE on the Fire Door Safety training.

Patricia joined dhf in October 2015. She has over 30 years’ marketing experience and was previously a marketing and quality assurance consultant for a variety of organisations. She holds Chartered Marketer status and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Her overall objective is to raise the profile of dhf. Patricia has introduced changes at dhf with revised branding, accreditation of training and the provision of CSCS cards to name a few. She has overall strategic responsibility for the commercial department comprising marketing, training and membership.

Nick joined dhf in April 2014 and was at the forefront of the Automated Gate Group Safety Diploma Course which he has developed into what it is today. To date, Nick has trained over 2000 people in automated gate and industrial & garage door safety. Not content to sit back and let the grass grow beneath his feet, Nick constantly updates the courses in line with the latest guidelines, so the industry is getting the very latest training available. He is always working tirelessly to help companies become compliant and install safe machines.

Steve has over 30 years' experience in the industry and has worked for a few companies who are current dhf members. Steve has represented his past employers at various dhf group meetings and is now pleased to be sitting on the other side. His main role is to deliver the suite of training courses offered by dhf as well as developing and delivering our collaborative training with BRE. He also provides support for the dhf technical helpline.

Kay has been with dhf for over 31 years and has seen many changes! She started as Senior Secretary and has progressed to Manager of the Administration Team and is our grammar guru. She takes care of the day to day running of Head Office, and what Kay doesn’t know about dhf, isn’t worth knowing.

Jason joined dhf in September 2022 as Marketing Manager. Jason is responsible for creating and implementing an annual marketing plan that will drive up revenue and ensure strategic objectives are hit. He has over 15 years’ marketing experience in a variety of roles and holds a Level 6 Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Jason is looking forward to utilising his skills in a new industry sector.

Beth is a pivotal figure at dhf , bringing over a decade of expertise to her role as the
Training Co-ordinator. Since joining in March 2013, she has been instrumental in orchestrating every aspect of the training process, from venue selection and booking management to the organisation of tailored private courses. With a keen eye for detail, Beth ensures that the dhf Training Academy website remains a hub of up-to-date information, seamlessly facilitating the enrollment process for participants. Helen joined dhf in its former life in October 1996, and has responsibility for the accounts, from raising invoices to chasing for payment! She has the task of ensuring all payments are made on time and prepares all the year-end returns for the accountants. Helen keeps everyone paid each month so is our best friend.

Claire has been a valued member of dhf since October 2018, initially joining the team in an administrative capacity. Since April 2019, her role has progressed and evolved significantly, with a primary focus on dhf's training function. As an integral part of the team, Claire not only oversees the smooth operation of online training platforms and manages bookings for private courses but also takes control of the registration of accreditations. Her meticulous attention to detail ensures that processes run seamlessly, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of dhf's training initiatives. Olivia joined dhf in October 2021 as the new Membership & Training Administrator since then she has progressed to Membership Officer. Olivia has many responsibilities that include, but not limited to, membership applications, CCA administration and CSCS card applications. She has great attention to detail and is the first port of call for any membership queries.

Dawn joined dhf in June 2022 in the role of Administrator. Her principal responsibility is to support Kay to carry out the day-to-day administrative duties for dhf.
