Why join dhf?

Specifiers and end users of industrial and commercial building products, and domestic customers, increasingly want the reassurance of quality, safety and compliance with legislation when choosing products. Membership of a progressive trade association allows you to demonstrate exactly that to your customers.

Full membership of dhf allows you to use the dhf logo, attend various meetings, take advantage of discounted training, be promoted with your own page on the website, access members' only publications and obtain member benefits from various providers.  It also shows your customers that you meet the criteria required, thus providing potential customers the peace of mind and assurance that they’ve selected a reputable company.

Joining dhf also gives members a voice when lobbying government, standards bodies, etc.

If you operate in either Domestic Garage DoorsIndustrial Doors & Rolling Shutters or Automated Gates & Traffic Barriers, industries you will be required to undertake the relevant dhf training in that area and cover the requirements of a Complimentary Conformity Advice (CCA). It is a criteria of membership that at least one person who is in an area of responsibility and can change processes within the organisation attends the relevant 2-day combined course and, if you work in all of these industries then you need to do both courses. After you have submitted your membership application to dhf, the relevant training must be booked onto before your application can be progressed any further. More information on this can be found on the training pages.

What is a CCA and does my company need one?

A Complimentary Conformity Advice (CCA) is an integral requirement of dhf membership and must be completed before a company becomes a dhf member.  A CCA is completed at the end of the legislation training (day 2)  or if training has been completed prior to your application, the CCA will be in the form of a webinar. The CCA and outlines the necessary requirements for your company to achieve legal compliance.

When are you granted dhf membership?

dhf membership is granted once all the above criteria has been met and you will be notified that your company has been accepted into dhf  membership. You will then be required to provide the products and services you provide and in what extent by means of completing a product survey. You will also need to provide your logo and a short description of your business to appear on the website.

Do you qualify for membership?
