In line with the majority of the building industry increasing their presence at job sites up and down the country, dhf is very proud to announce that starting in June face-to-face training classes will once again be taking place at the dhf Training Academy near Tamworth.
As you may already be aware, after carrying out a risk assessment on the offices, a small number of dhf staff have been working from the office on a rota basis for the last few weeks, taking all necessary safety measures such as social distancing, to protect staff whilst keeping dhf operational. Additional measures like warning signs at doors and hallways, tape on the floors showing distancing and supplying hand sanitiser have been put in place to protect dhf staff.
These safety measures have been extended to our dedicated Training Academy, and to further enhance the safety and security of all dhf training delegates, a strict limit on the number of learners will be in place as we resume classes in June. Ordinarily the self contained Training Academy affords room for 25 learners, however, to adhere to strict social distancing measures, just 6 students will be allowed to participate in each training course. Each learner will be provided with an individually wrapped lunch but can bring their own if they prefer. Tea, coffee making facilities and independent small packets of biscuits will also be provided to help eliminate any concerns about COVID-19 contamination.
All learners who were registered for any courses that were postponed because of the pandemic lockdown have already been contacted, and places are filling up on a first-come, first-served basis.
Further dates will be announced in due course, so we look forward to welcoming all of our learners back to the dhf Training Academy very soon!
