DHF MEMBER, HENRY SQUIRE & SONS, MOVE PREMISES AFTER 225 YEARS

After more than 225 years of manufacturing on the same site, Henry Squire & Sons Limited have now moved to a brand new factory unit. Their new premises are situated at Hilton Cross Business Park, Cannock Road, Featherstone, Wolverhampton, WV10 7QZ, (near to Junction 1 of the M54) located approximately 4 miles from the old site.  
 
Around 90 staff are based at the new unit, which will focus on higher added value manufacturing, research, development and design; as well as customer service and administration.  
 
SQUIRE is Britain’s leading manufacturer of padlocks, bike locks and allied security products, ranging from high security commercial products through to value for money domestic applications.  
 
Gordon Squire is the seventh, and John Squire – his son, is the eight direct descendant of William Squire, the founder of the company in 1780, which continues to remain a family business.  
 
John Squire says “We’re progressive and ambitious as a business and place great importance on developing products to meet the security needs of today’s market. The facilities at the new site will assist in our achievement of this aim”.
